Auto device: API changes, bug fixes, README.md

- Change :cuda(device) overload to :cudaOn(device)
- Add :cloneOn(device)
- Fix bug in +,-,*,/ metamethods: checkGPU wasn't being called on these
  metamethods.
- Add description of auto-device mode to README.md
