Android DisplayingBitmaps Sample

This is a sample application for the Android Training class "Displaying Bitmaps Efficiently" (http://developer.android.com/training/displaying-bitmaps/).

It demonstrates how to load large bitmaps efficiently off the main UI thread, caching bitmaps (both in memory and on disk), managing bitmap memory and displaying bitmaps in UI elements such as ViewPager and ListView/GridView.

Pre-requisites

  • Android SDK v20
  • Android Build Tools v20
  • Android Support Repository

Getting Started

This sample uses the Gradle build system. To build this project, use the “gradlew build” command or use “Import Project” in Android Studio.
